Our Mission
Modernizing a Legacy
El Lirio Polo is my story in motion. I started my polo journey in a freezing Copenhagen arena, transitioning from the show world with a 10-day boot camp and a pony named Pichon 5. That cold winter taught me something that's stuck ever since: if you want greatness from your horses, you have to start with trust, not force.
Today, El Lirio Polo is my mission to prove that elite performance and uncompromising horse welfare aren't competing goals — they're the same thing.
1. Horsemanship (The Heart)
Our passion begins with their wellbeing. We operate with a true horse-first philosophy, where exceptional care and thoughtful training unlock the full potential of our equine athletes. We believe greatness starts from the ground up, and welfare is our ultimate ROI.
2. Power (The Vision)
This is about building excellence — horses with strength, speed, and heart. While we don't breed ourselves, I carefully source and select equine athletes with world-class potential, shaping them into powerful, intuitive partners that can elevate any rider's game and own the field - shaping powerful, intuitive partners tailored to elevate every rider’s performance and dominate the field.
3. Precision (The Detail)
In polo, every moment matters. We refine each detail—from the horse’s movement to the swing of the mallet. Through focused training and intelligent strategy, we bridge the gap between show-world mastery and high-goal execution, ensuring consistency in every play.
4. Innovation (The Advancement)
Progress is our standard. I don't believe in standing still. Whether it's embracing modern training, sourcing world-class equipment, or building toward my vision of a Pony Pit Stop network — I'm committed to pushing polo toward a smarter, safer future for everyone involved.
5. Integrity (The Standard)
This is the foundation. From pristine barns to transparent financial models to the incredible grooms who care for our horses every day — I build this team with intention, respect, and gratitude. It's a polo lifestyle rooted in pride.
From the Reins
After 30 years in the international show world, my transition to polo was more than a change in sport—it was a mission. This is my personal journal where I share the raw reality of building a legacy, my unfiltered views on equine welfare, and what it truly means to put the horse first.
